Un tânăr de la Ocnița a încercat să se stranguleze după ce a strâns-o de gât pe partenera sa până aceasta și-a pierdut cunoștința. Tânărul a fost transportat în comă la spital, iar la câteva zile a decedat. Ulterior, bărbatul a încercat să se sinucidă prin strangulare. Totuși, tânărul a fost salvat de către o rudă și a fost internat în Spitalul Raional din Ocnița cu comă. Cadavrul a fost trimis spre examinare medico-legală pentru stabilirea exactă a cauzei decesului.

Pe 19 iulie s-a încheiat primul hackathon de jurnalism civic din Moldova, Puterea a Cincea, organizat de Centrul pentru Jurnalism Independent și Internews. Echipele desemnate câștigătoare sunt:Inițiativa- O platformă pe care utilizatorii se vor putea expune în legătură cu proiecte de legi, hotărâri de guvern și vor putea propune inițiative la nivel local și național. Televisor – O aplicație prin intermediul căreia cetățenii simpli vor putea trimite și vizualiza conținut jurnalistic concomitent cu instituțiile media. Hackathonul Puterea a Cincea își propune să îmbunătățească interacțiunea dintre presă și public cu ajutorul unor aplicații web sau mobile precum și alte instrumente IT inovatoare.
